As part of the sustainability strategy of the Weizenbaum Institute [currently only available in German], we are taking the following steps to make the ECREA Political Communication Section Conference 2023 as sustainable as possible.

• Digital invitation and event management
• Recommendation of accommodation options with renewable energies
• Avoidance of unnecessary usage of printed paper

Catering

• Sustainable and vegetarian catering during the event
• Vegetarian Conference Dinner
• Avoidance of food waste by passing leftovers on to charitable organizations

• Recommendation to use of public transport or bicycles within Berlin
• Recommendation to travel by train or car within the EU
• Good accessibility by public transport during the event due to central location of the venue
• Recommendation to compensate flights via atmosfair

Waste

• Waste separation
• Waste avoidance through reusable materials
• Avoidance of unnecessary materials and giveaways
